How to make your own removable, free spinning stripper pole for less than ! Here's the part list from top to bottom: 1 6"x6" square piece of plywood (optional) 1 1 1/2" flange 1 1 1/2" threaded nipple 1 aluminum electrical conduit, 1 1/4" diameter 1 1 1/4" adapter for conduit 1 1 1/4" flange 1 6"x6" piece of plywood 1 6" lazy susan (optional) 1 6"x6" piece of plywood (optional) 8 rubber furniture leg grippers (small circles or you might be able to find a solid cuttable sheet. Respective number of bolts/screws (4 for each flange, 4 for each piece of plywood used except for the bottom, and 8 for the lazy susan if you decide to use it. Note: find bolts short enough for the bottom flange so they don't scrape against the floor or the bottom plywood if you decide to go with the lazy susan) Notice the optional pieces, except for the top piece of plywood, is for the spinning version. The top piece of plywood can be skipped if you'd rather simply bolt the flange into the ceiling. How I measured for the conduit: -Do not buy the conduit yet unless you have a saw at home to cut the pole. -Put the base together - plywood, lazy susan, flange, and adapter to give the pole threads. -Install the top flange, no need to screw the nipple into the top flange yet. -Place the base on the floor, directly below the top flange.
